PhD

During my PhD I studied the dynamics of emotions during a naturally unfolding virtual environment. I was part of the ReSource Project and also published on the effects of meditation-based mental training on emotion regulation.

Teaching

I am developing and teaching the following courses at University of Würzburg:

  • Seminar Biopsychology (3rd semester Bachelor Psychology)
    • Social Neuroscience (Summer 2017 - Summer 2018)
    • Emotions (3rd semester Bachelor Psychology, Winter 2016-2017)
  • Experimental and empirical practicum (a research project, 3rd semester Psychology, taught in summer 2017)
  • Lecture on Social Neuroscience (Translational Neuroscience Master, summer 2017)
  • Lecture on peripheral physiology, as part of the Biopsychology lecture series (summer 2018)

I am also supervising Bachelor and Master theses on the topic of social attention, using eyetracking, EEG, and virtual reality.

I try to engage students and doctoral researchers to critically question research practices and learn about reproducible research, open science, methods and statistics. For this aim, we started a biweekly journal club.
